Markel sat beside Setana, her short hair blowing lightly with the wind, she sighed with excitement. "Arent you wondering where the others are?" Said Markel suddenly.

Setana snprted, "Do you think I care?' She flicked open the book and cursed. "The bloody thing is in elvish! Stupid misleading quote!" she flicked through some more of it. "Can you read it? I mean, I can say it but i have no clue what it means..."

Markel nodded, "My knowledge is just the opposite, I can understand it, but not read it. Read it to me and I will translate." Markel nodded slightly.

Setana laughed quietly. "Well, shall we begin? Just say if it has anything to do with werewolves, if not we'll skip it." She slipped ot the beginning of the book and started reading, " And doth the sun rising above the horizon sprung my the idea. The writitng, the idea, the story." she looked at Markel. "Anything?"

"No, nothing." She said after a moment of thinking. "Skip about two pages, bound to find something there." She smiled and then yawned.

Setana nodded and flicked forward two pages, she started reading again. "Bloodied by the claws of the moon, and burned with the pasion of the dead. Born unto the world of death and given to the world of moonlit darkness. Monsters of darkness." She looked up at Markel.

"Yes, yes. Keep reading." Said Markel, after thinking a moment and translating in her mind. She rustled in her seat, feeling a bit more excited.

"Well, tell me what it means wont you? Or a summary?" but she looked back to the book, excitment gripped her. "Both the creatures were born of a curse, which gave them far to much power. Power unable to be removed, the strongest mages blocked them from the ones bearing the curse. Carefully done and hopefully impenitrable all creatures of darkness harbor power beyond their own imagination. In a further attempt to keep them from the powers they bestow, the human race itself hath been stunted in its knowledge, unable to learn the vast amounts such as the elves do." She had to force herself to stop, so she wouldn't give Markel to much so she couldn't translate.

Markel looked up as she recited, then when she'd finished, "Does that help any?"

Setana glowered. "Elves, think they have the power to do anything. At least this gives us a right to take back what they took from us..." she found her place and continued reading. "Spell strong and elves contented they relaxed. But it may be possible in years to come for something to happen, which is why I keep this record." She jumped to the next 'paragraph'. "Gleamering like the most deadly oth swords, a new beast emerges from curses." She paused, hoping thee was something useful in this book.

Setana paused. "Do you think something good will come from the knowledge in here?" "It shouldn't, seeing as you were never ment to have it." Setana jumped at the voice, and her yellow eyes norrowed coldly at the elf walking towards them. Mendreta looked at her like a mother who was becoming disapointed with her child. "Did you think I did't notice you in the library?"

Markel sighed at Mendreta's sudden appearance, she stood and crossed her arms as if she were being impatient. Then she smelt it, it was unclear, but she knew that scent. Her father was nearby in the city. "Setana, I have to go!" Markel said this in a loud whisper as if someone were going to find her if she spoke too loud.

Setana turned quickly to Markel. "Then I have to go with you! I can't translate this alone! And I doubt the elf will help me at all." Mendreta glared at her. "I need the book as well, but for quite different reasons." she paused. "Give me the book Setana." "No! I found it, I trailed the rumors to it! Its mine." She pulled it close ot her chest as if she was portecting a child. The gesture seemed to infuriate Mendreta more than he words.

Markel sighed, "Well then we have to go now!," her voice dropped as the scent grew stronger, "My father is here somewhere, I'll explain later, right now we have to go." Markel began crossing the park, trying to get away from her father's stench, but it lingered..
